WHY HERE?

Spaces with a century of stories

You can rent a banquet hall anywhere, but you'll walk into these rooms and feel the difference immediately: restored ballrooms, hand-carved woodwork, architecture from an era when craftsmanship was an art.

Every detail was years in the making, so that on your big day, all you have to do is show up and shine.

WHO WE ARE?

We're the ones who saved these buildings

Shuman Development Group restored these historic spaces, spent countless hours hunting down period appropriate light fixtures, matching original millwork, and making sure every detail met the moment. The preservation is ours, but the party is yours.

What you can book

One venue open now. Two more, and a guest house, on the way. Here's what people are already asking us for.

Weddings & receptions

Picture the whole day in one neighborhood. Vows in an 1832 church, cocktails at a mansion, the first dance under six crystal chandeliers at the Abe. Your guests park once.

Church late 2026. Mansion 2027.

Corporate events & meetings

Your team has sat through enough hotel conference rooms. Put them in a boardroom with 150-year-old woodwork and watch how the conversation changes.

Private parties

Birthdays, showers, reunions, retirements. Here's the test: will people still be talking about the room a year later? In these rooms, yes.

Old-time bowling

Hand-set lanes in the basement of the Trexler Mansion, the only period-accurate alley in Berks County. Book it with your event, and the after-party plans itself.

Coming 2027.

Photo & film shoots

A sweeping staircase, a church aisle, gilded rooms, and a marble lobby, all within a few blocks. Scout them in one afternoon.

Overnight stays

The question every out-of-town guest asks first: where do we sleep? The Trexler Guest House, steps from the mansion. Book it with your event and keep the wedding party together.

Coming 2027.
